Exterior Painting

Siding, trim, doors and shutters, prepped properly so the finish looks sharp and holds up to New Jersey weather.

Exterior Painting

Curb appeal starts with the paint

The outside of a house takes sun, rain, snow and freeze-thaw cycles every year. Paint over loose, dirty or bare spots and it starts peeling fast. A lasting exterior job starts with washing, scraping, sanding, caulking and priming the surfaces that need it.

From there I paint siding, trim, fascia, soffits, doors, shutters and porches with clean lines between colors, so the house looks crisp from the street and up close.

Done right, an exterior paint job lasts

Proper prep

Loose paint scraped, rough edges sanded, gaps caulked and bare wood primed before any finish coat.

Right conditions

Paint goes on when the temperature and moisture let it cure properly, not just when it's convenient.

Clean color breaks

Sharp lines between body, trim and accent colors, so the details of the house stand out.

Questions

Exterior painting questions

When is the best time to paint a house exterior in New Jersey?

Late spring through early fall usually gives exterior paint the temperatures and dry weather it needs to cure. I schedule around the forecast.

Can you repair rotted trim before painting?

Yes. As a carpenter, I can replace damaged trim boards so they're painted right along with the rest of the house.

Can you paint just the trim, front door or shutters?

Yes. Smaller exterior jobs can be quoted on their own.
