Kitchen Cabinet Installation
Custom and semi-custom cabinetry set level, plumb and tight, so the kitchen looks as good as the drawings.
High-end cabinets deserve a high-end install
Expensive cabinetry can still look cheap if it goes in crooked. Doors that don't line up, gaps at the wall and uneven reveals are almost always installation problems, not cabinet problems. I take the time to set every box level, plumb and square before anything gets fastened.
I scribe fillers and end panels to walls that aren't straight, shim to floors that aren't flat and finish with crown, light rail and toe kicks, so the kitchen reads as one piece of furniture.

Cabinet installation, start to finish
Every project is quoted to its own scope. Typical work includes:
- Base, wall & tall cabinets
- Kitchen islands & end panels
- Scribed fillers & panels
- Cabinet crown & light rail
- Toe kicks & finished ends
- Hardware layout & installation
- Pantry & appliance panels
- Bars, hutches & vanities
Details that separate a custom kitchen from a stock one
Level end to end
I set a level reference line across the whole run, so countertops sit flat and doors line up even when the floor slopes.
Even reveals
Door and drawer gaps are adjusted so the lines stay consistent across every cabinet, uppers to lowers.
Tight to the wall
Fillers and panels are scribed to the wall's real shape, so there are no gaps to hide with caulk.
From walkthrough to final look
Measure & Review
I walk the kitchen, check the plans and the cabinet order, and find wall and floor issues before day one.
Layout
Level lines and stud locations get marked so every box has a solid reference.
Set & Fasten
Uppers, bases and islands go in, shimmed, scribed and fastened solid.
Trim & Adjust
Crown, light rail, panels and hardware go on, then doors and drawers are adjusted until the reveals are even.
Cabinet installation questions
Do you install cabinets supplied by a designer or builder?
Yes. I install cabinetry supplied by builders, kitchen designers and homeowners. Send me the layout and I'll review it before giving you a quote.
Can you install the crown and trim on the cabinets too?
Yes. Cabinet crown, light rail, end panels and toe kicks are part of a finished install, and I can tie them into the rest of the room's trim.
How long does a kitchen cabinet install take?
It depends on the size of the kitchen and how much trim work is involved. After I see the layout, I'll give you a schedule along with the quote.
