New Construction Finish Carpentry & Painting
A finish carpenter and painter for builders and GCs on high-end new homes: trim, stairs, doors, cabinets and paint.
The last 10% of the build is what buyers remember
On a new home, the framing, mechanicals and drywall are out of sight by the time anyone walks through. What people see is the finish: the trim, the stairs, the doors, the paint. It's also the stage where schedules slip if the finish crew isn't reliable.
Most of my work today is as a finish subcontractor on high-end construction. I read the plans, coordinate with the GC and leave each room paint-ready, or painted, so the house is ready for the final walkthrough.

One finish sub for the whole house
Every project is quoted to its own scope. Typical work includes:
- Interior trim packages
- Doors & hardware
- Stair parts & railings
- Paneling, wainscoting & coffered ceilings
- Cabinet & vanity installation
- Built-ins & shelving
- Interior painting
- Exterior trim & paint
What builders get with one finish sub
Carpentry and paint
One person for trim and paint means fewer handoffs and no finger-pointing between trades.
Works from the plans
I work from the drawings and the spec, and ask questions before I cut, not after.
Short punch lists
Rooms are left clean and finished, so the punch list stays short.
From my recent new-construction work
Real job-site photos taken right after install, before caulk and paint.

From walkthrough to final look
Plans & Schedule
I review the drawings, specs and build schedule with the GC.
Trim-Out
Doors, casing, base, stairs and millwork go in as rooms are ready.
Paint
Fill, caulk and paint, or hand off paint-ready to your painter.
Punch & Walkthrough
I work through the punch list and final walkthrough with the builder or owner.
