Trim & Millwork
Crown, casing, wainscoting, paneled walls and built-ins: the details that make a house feel custom.
Millwork is what makes a room feel finished
Two houses can have the same floor plan and feel completely different. The difference is usually the millwork: substantial crown, proper casing, paneled walls and built-ins that look like they were always there.
Trim and paneling make up most of my portfolio: picture-frame walls, slat and shiplap feature walls, wrapped columns and built-ins, installed with tight joints and spacing that stays even across the wall.

The trim and millwork I install
Every project is quoted to its own scope. Typical work includes:
- Crown molding
- Baseboard & shoe
- Door & window casing
- Wainscoting & picture-frame panels
- Full-height paneled walls
- Slat, fluted & shiplap walls
- Coffered & tray ceiling trim
- Built-ins, window seats & column wraps
The difference is in the joints
Coped corners
Inside corners on crown and base are coped, not just mitered, so they stay tight as the house moves.
Even spacing
Panel layouts are planned before the first cut, so the reveals come out equal across the whole wall.
Paint-ready
Nail holes filled, joints caulked and sanded, so the finish coat looks seamless.
From my portfolio
Real job-site photos of my own work, most taken right after install, before caulk and paint.

From walkthrough to final look
Plan
I measure the room and lay out the panel spacing and profiles with you.
Prep
Studs located, walls and ceilings checked for level, outlets and windows planned around.
Install
Trim is cut and installed with tight miters and coped corners.
Finish
Fill, caulk and sand, then paint, or leave it paint-ready for your painter.
Trim & millwork questions
Do you build built-ins and window seats?
Yes. The geometric wall with a built-in window seat and shelving in my portfolio is one example.
Do you use MDF or wood?
Paint-grade MDF is common for painted paneling and shows up in much of my work. Solid wood makes sense where trim will be stained or takes more wear. We'll pick the right material for each area.
Can you add trim to a house that has very little?
Yes. Adding crown, wainscoting or a paneled feature wall is one of the most noticeable upgrades you can make to an existing room.
